In filmmaking, great ideas are everywhere. But turning those ideas into stories that can be seen — and heard — is what truly matters. At Maratona Cinematográfica 2026, creators didn’t just learn the craft — they lived it, from the first lesson to the final frame.

Before diving deeper into the event, it’s worth highlighting the team behind it: DESBRAVA Produções. The team is a four-member audiovisual production group with full-cycle capabilities spanning creative development, filming, and project management. Combining expertise in directing, cinematography, production, and brand communication, they deliver end-to-end content solutions from concept to execution.

Led by founder Jesse Rodrigues, a film producer and assistant director, DESBRAVA plays a central role in bringing projects to life. Within the team, he oversees production, project development, and sponsorship management, ensuring each initiative moves seamlessly from idea to execution. Jesse also leads the Marathon’s communication team.

The Program: A Complete Creative Journey

Supported by Aldir Blanc National Policy for Cultural Promotion and in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Joinviva, SeeS Contabilidade Online, and Cinemateca Catarinense, the program was designed as a full-cycle experience:

• Learn — 8 industry professionals shared insights across filmmaking disciplines
• Create — participants formed teams and brought their ideas to life
• Showcase — projects were evaluated by expert judges and presented on stage

From concept to completion, every step mattered.

From Learning to Creation

Knowledge is the starting point.Creation is the real test. During the filmmaking challenge, participants worked under real-world conditions — limited time, collaborative production, and no room for retakes. This became one of the program’s defining highlights. “We received a lot of positive feedback from participants, who were highly satisfied with the quality of the talks and how much everyone was able to learn,” said Jesse. This is where ideas become stories. And where every detail counts.
