Our journey started at Madam Jin, one of Chongqing’s oldest photo studios. Here, everyone had a simple makeup session, got dressed up, and then had a fun personal portrait shoot. This was an opportunity for them to show their true selves. Then, under the guidance of the project in-charge, each group completed four tasks: getting made up, taking photos, selecting films, and doing interviews, and recorded these unforgettable moments.

Rubbing: The Modern Resonance of an Ancient Technique

Paper was gently placed on the board with mysterious inscriptions, and then the ink brush swept across it, revealing amazing lines. Each rubbing pattern contains beautiful blessings and deep hopes. One creator writes the character “Fu.” This simple word carries a sincere wish for happiness. Once the “Fu” rubbing is done, happiness seems to follow. Another creator makes a rubbing of “Zhao Cai Jin Bao,” symbolizing wealth pouring in like a surging tide and treasures gathering like glittering stars reflecting people’s longing for a prosperous life. Another rubbing of “Shou” (longevity) conveys a heartfelt blessing for health and longevity, expressing the hope for a long, disease-free life. Rubbings of blue and white porcelain embody a classic charm of elegance and purity. Rubbings of door gods, with their majestic figures affixed to doors, resemble loyal guardians of the home, warding off evil spirits, protecting peace, and keeping misfortune at bay. These symbols, carrying countless beautiful wishes, are preserved on the pages of paper, conveying deep blessings and hopes for oneself and one’s family.

Palm Moxibustion: A Unique Experience That Warms the Body and Mind

During this intangible cultural experience, we also specially arranged for international creators to experience palm moxibustion. The masseur’s palms touched the creator’s neck, and the warmth, like a gentle current, slowly permeated his or her skin. As the warmth continued to spread, it surprisingly brought a sense of peace and tranquility. Palm moxibustion has many magical benefits: it promotes blood circulation, relieves muscle pain, and relaxes joints. It also dredges meridians and unblocks energy channels, dispelling fatigue and leaving a sense of comfort and tranquility.

Here, culture is no longer a static symbol but a living, tangible experience. A trace, a warm current, forges a tangible connection with this city, allowing us to experience the warmth and power of culture amidst the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

Dinner Spectacle: A Perfect Blend of Cuisine and Scenery

Encountering Delicacies on the Dazzling Night View of the Cruise Ship

As night falls, the luxurious cruise culinary journey begins. Creators can savor delicious food while admiring Chongqing’s captivating nightscape. The Two Rivers Cruise slowly set off from the dock. The lights of countless homes on both sides of the river shone like stars. The boat’s hull seemed to merge with the river’s surface, and the golden palace of Hongyadong appeared to float in the night. Standing on land, you can only catch a glimpse of Chongqing’s beauty; aboard a cruise ship on the Jialing and Yangtze Rivers, you can take in the whole city. The dinner was filled with mouth-watering dishes. Every bite was a true culinary delight.

A Feast of Lights: Celebrating Unforgettable Moments

As the cruise slowly approached the Jiangbeizui Financial Center, a stunning architectural light show began. 500,000 LED dots lit up the areas along the two rivers. “HELLO!” in various languages appeared on the building’s LED screens, warmly welcoming creators from around the world. Then, “HOLLYLAND HAPPY BIRTHDAY” showed up. Hollyland, a brand that has grown rapidly from humble beginnings through innovation and perseverance, celebrated its birthday tonight. Staff rolled out birthday cakes, and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to Hollyland. Two staff members held aloft a banner filled with heartfelt wishes, reading “Happy, Because of You,” bringing the atmosphere to a climax.

The finale of the event: A blend of warmth and emotion

Back in the restaurant, the meticulously shot and edited videos created by each group on August 30th were shown on the big screen one by one, showcasing their hard work and creativity. Everyone shared their unforgettable experiences from the past five days, while photos from the day played on the big screen, reminding them of the beautiful moments of the event. As the WeConnect event drew to a close, everyone exchanged gifts, tears welled up in their eyes, and they hugged each other tightly, reluctant to part. Finally, everyone took a group photo together to capture this precious moment forever.
