Hollyland delivers powerful wireless tools to keep production in sync—no matter the scale.
“Even with just two people, I can’t imagine working without the communication system.”

Meet Pawel Karpinski

Pawel Karpinski is a veteran filmmaker and live broadcast producer based in Poland, with extensive experience across a wide range of productions. From small-scale shoots to large-scale livestreams, Pawel’s team values tools that are reliable, efficient, and easy to work with throughout the entire production process.

Pawel has been using Hollyland products for years, gradually making them a core part of his day-to-day work. From wireless microphones to intercom systems and video transmitters, these tools have become essential to how he runs his shoots.

Challenge & Set up

Recently, Pawel’s team was tasked with a large-scale production: live-streaming an official attempt to break the Polish national record for the largest environmental education lesson. The stakes were high, with an audience of 1000–1500 on-site participants, a parallel online livestream, and multiple live cameras switching in real time.

The setup included 4 live cameras and a team of 8 coordinating between an indoor stage, an outdoor platform, and a screen control team. “The setup covered a 100–150 meter circle,” Pawel explained, “with physical barriers like floors and corridors separating operators.” The

That’s where COSMO C2 and Solidcom C1 Pro with HUB came in.

COSMO C2 features a dual-TX support and stable video transmission, which is suitable for this multi-camera setup. The system was positioned about 15 meters from the main stage, and the transmission signal was stable throughout the whole project even when the transmitter and receiver were separated by structural obstacles. “No cable chaos, and no signal drop,” Pawel noted.

Meanwhile, the Solidcom C1 Pro with 8 headsets and a HUB served as the command center for camera coordination, stage timing, and real-time adjustments. “I was not only manning the camera,” said Pawel, “but also directing which camera to switch to, and asking our cameramen to change their frames. Without this communication system, it simply would not have been possible.”

Staying Connected Across a Busy Venue

In a high-pressure setup like this, low latency and wireless flexibility play a significant role in the production. With the help of the COSMO C2 and Solidcom C1 Pro, Pawel’s crew was able to adjust quickly and keep everything running smoothly. They found the COSMO C2 especially useful for its stable signal, long battery life, and its freeze-frame ability to display a custom poster if the connection was lost. Pawel described it as a thoughtful and practical feature.

Despite having only a few people on set, everything ran without a hitch. “The Cosmo C2 is especially useful when cameras often change position. No HDMI/SDI cables in the way, and it saves time and space.”

Takeaways

From educational events to professional broadcasts, Pawel Karpinski continues to choose Hollyland gear to support small crews working on demanding productions. With reliable performance and straightforward setup, the COSMO C2 and Solidcom C1 Pro have become a standard part of his toolkit.
