A boy's quiet train ride becomes a journey through grief,
memory, and connection.
Project Title: Anohi
Genre: Poetic Short (Focus Track)
Project Lead: Lilia Miki
Project Overview:
Anohi is a poetic short film set on a rural Japanese train,
where a fleeting encounter between a teenage boy and an old man
reveals themes of grief, legacy, and intergenerational
connection. With minimal dialogue and quiet lyricism, the film
slows us down in contrast to today's fast-paced digital
world, fostering reflection on memory, vulnerability, and
overlooked humanity while amplifying underrepresented voices
across cultures.
