Testing Background
DiegoNGuerrero first learned about the Hollyland products from professional communities. Recently, he and his team created a commercial to showcase the explosive collaboration between Valka, the rising music sensation, and Fuego Burger, the restaurant owned by Latin America’s biggest streamer.
In just one day, they shot high-impact visuals for YouTube ads, Instagram content, and billboards, bringing this fusion of sound and flavor to life. The production was powered by a Sony FX3, Rokinon lenses, and Pyro S + Pyro 7 for flawless wireless monitoring.
Why Choose Hollyland?
Real-time Multi-device Monitoring
“The ability for multiple departments to view the camera feed on their tablets significantly improved on-set efficiency. With real-time monitoring readily available, I no longer had to run back and forth to the director’s monitor — allowing me to focus entirely on framing and movement.”
–Andrés (Camera Operator)
The Pyro series uses WiFiBroadcast technology to allow one transmitter to connect to up to four receivers with stable signal transmission—offering greater flexibility when additional monitoring is needed on set.
Pyro 7 seamlessly connects to other Pyro series devices once group pairing is configured. Using two customizable buttons, you can switch between dual camera views in under one second.
Professional-grade Monitoring Tools
“Built-in tools like histograms, scopes, and false color gave us precise control over exposure and color from the start. Being able to monitor exposure in real time while setting up lighting made my job significantly easier. And thanks to the accuracy of the scopes and histograms, we were able to dial in the exact look we wanted with confidence.”
–Santi (Gaffer)
Pyro 7 offers a convenient custom shortcut key feature that can be used for dual-view monitoring and can also be used to quickly launch Waveform, Recording, Focus Assist and other image analysis functions.
Outstanding Transmission Quality
“Even in a set filled with walls and obstacles, the signal remained rock solid, proving Hollyland’s reliability in challenging environments. With the live feed accessible to the art team, we could perfect the set design without interrupting the camera crew. The whole process became more efficient, saving us valuable time on set.”
–Nata (Production Designer)
With self-developed 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Dual-Band technology, Pyro S features a stable transmission range of up to 1,300ft (400m). It achieves a minimal transmission latency of 50ms thanks to upgraded chips and optimized video encoding/decoding algorithms.
Wrapping Up
“Hollyland’s products saved us an incredible amount of time because we were shooting across three different sets. While the photography team adjusted the lighting, the art team could simultaneously set up the background—each team monitoring the camera feed in real-time from their tablets.
As the director, I was able to review playbacks directly on the monitor, allowing for immediate feedback and precise adjustments. The Pyro S + Pyro 7 system proved invaluable, ensuring that we maintained a professional workflow, controlled every histogram, scope, and false color, and achieved spot-on exposure and color accuracy. Plus, the fan noise was practically nonexistent, keeping the set silent and focused.”
