About Seif Ali and His Team
A young independent film team from Egypt led by filmmaker Seif Ali, focused on narrative and socially driven cinema. The team brings together emerging directors, cinematographers, producers, and sound designers, collaborating closely to deliver visually driven storytelling with natural performances and strong location-based realism. Their work emphasizes visual storytelling, natural performances, and location-based realism. The Land’s Oath reflects their interest in blending social drama with symbolic and mythological elements inspired by Egyptian heritage and landscape.

Projects Overview
The Land’s Oath is a narrative short film. The project is a filmmaking production centered on social drama, blending realism with symbolic and mythological elements. It tells the story of a woman’s struggle over land, faith, and inheritance in a rural Egyptian setting, drawing inspiration from the myth of Isis and Osiris.
The project was a medium-budget independent short film production, with a budget of approximately 50,000 EGP. It was produced with a compact professional crew over one shooting day and intended for festival screenings.

Usage Scenario
The project was shot in both indoor and outdoor environments at the Egyptian Media Production City. Indoor scenes were filmed in controlled builded plateau settings, while outdoor scenes were shot on location, requiring adaptability to changing light and environmental conditions.

Product Allocation
Three departments used Hollyland products during the production: Directing, Cinematography, and Lighting (Gaffer).
The setup included video transmission solutions Pyro S and Pyro 7, along with the Solidcom SE intercom system.

Challenges & Solutions
Hollyland products helped solve several key challenges on set.
Communication, which was previously scattered and inefficient, became seamless, allowing the Director, 1st Assistant Director, and Gaffer to coordinate instantly.
Monitoring camera feeds from a distance, which was difficult and time consuming, was made simple, enabling the Director of Photography to work more efficiently and accurately. Additionally, lighting adjustments, which usually required constant back-and-forth, could now be executed in real time, allowing the Gaffer to respond immediately to direction and streamline the setup process.
