About Thony Kamargo and His Team

Thony Kamargo is a Cinematographer, Creative Director, and Producer running a film production house in Europe, and he lives to turn bold ideas into powerful visuals. For over 8 years, he has been on sets across Europe shooting commercials, producing global TVCs for leading filmmaking equipment brands, and capturing the pulse of festivals that bring thousands together.

But his work doesn’t stop at campaigns. He has filmed charity projects deep in African safaris and orphanages, flown across Chile and Peru to capture the otherworldly Atacama Desert and the mysteries of the Nazca Lines, and even told stories from cruises in the middle of the ocean. Every project is an adventure, and every frame is a chance to connect people with a brand’s true voice.

Together with his team, he doesn’t just deliver — he goes beyond. From scripting and pre-production to casting, filming, editing, and high-end color grading, they bring the full spectrum of creativity and technical mastery. No matter the scale, they make sure the final material doesn’t just look good — it speaks, it moves, and it endures.

Testing Background

This time, Thony and his team were shooting a motorbike commercial for a known clothes brand in Gdansk, Poland. The client was MV Agusta Motor, and the project was fully outdoors, so they chose the Cosmo C2 system because of its exceptional long-range video transmission capabilities. The goal was to film a biker racing along a narrow road in the middle of the forest, which meant they needed a stable, high-quality feed over long distances and through potential obstructions. The C2 delivered beyond expectations.

How Did the Cosmo C2 Enhance Commercial Production Workflows?

Ultra-Stable Performance

“Having a stable live feed made all the difference. I could call adjustments on the spot without second-guessing what the operator was capturing. It felt like I was right there on the bike, even though I was monitoring from 300 meters away.”

From a technical standpoint, the dual-frequency transmission allowed the system to intelligently switch and maintain signal integrity even in a challenging environment surrounded by trees that could normally cause reflections and interference.

Another major plus was the 1080p60 transmission quality. Even at long range, the director and crew were able to view a sharp, detailed image on set monitors, ensuring framing and focus were always spot on. The automatic channel scanning also made setup quick and worry-free,  simply powered on, locked the channel, and the system handled the rest.

Portable and Lightweight

“A wireless transmission system really needs to be lightweight and easy to manage, because on set every gram and every minute count. If the gear is heavy, it slows down rigs, drains batteries, and tires operators. If it’s complicated, it eats into shooting time. A compact, reliable system keeps the crew fast, flexible, and focused on the story instead of the gear.”

Its transmitter is extremely lightweight, which made rigging it onto the motorbike simple and seamless, without impacting stability or rider comfort. Despite the fast motion and constant vibrations, the unit held firmly in place and operated without a single dropout.

33ms Low Latency

“Latency is usually my nightmare when pulling focus or checking if something is needed on high-speed shots, but the C2 was so responsive I didn’t even think about it. I trusted the image I was seeing, and that gave me confidence to properly do my job.”

Cosmo C2 achieves a super-low latency of just 33ms and the latency remains the same over extended distances, thus ensuring smooth and reliable transmission.

Wrapping Up

“Overall, the system gave us the confidence to attempt more complex tracking shots. Knowing the feed would remain stable allowed the director to make real-time creative calls, which, in fast-paced outdoor productions like this one, can make a huge difference in terms of time.”
