On Windows, open the Volume Mixer and manually route your playback app’s audio output to “MELO P1.” This keeps the backing track audio separated from the main system audio going to the streaming software. After pairing, play a track and confirm the BGM volume meter is bouncing in the HollyAudio App — that’s your signal that the backing track is entering the mixer correctly.
One important platform note: macOS is not recommended for simultaneous audio recording and Bluetooth backing track routing. Audio routing conflicts and latency are difficult to avoid even with third-party software. On Mac setups, use a separate phone for backing tracks.
After the initial pairing, future sessions reconnect automatically when Bluetooth is enabled. iPhone users may need to tap “MELO P1” manually in Bluetooth settings if the connection doesn’t restore automatically.
Monitoring is the part of a livestream setup most people skip — and then regret. Hearing your own audio in real time lets you catch level problems, distortion, or feedback before your audience does.

The MELO P1 offers two monitoring options. The included TWS wireless earphones connect to the mixer via 2.4GHz for low-latency stereo monitoring — no cables, no interference with movement. With everything connected, the next step is configuration — and this should always happen before the stream starts, not during it.
Open the HollyAudio App and set channel volumes based on your environment and capsule. For a condenser capsule indoors at close range, start with microphone volume at 10–12, backing track at 13–14, and USB Output at 15–20. For a dynamic capsule at the same distance, set the microphone to 11–13. Keep the USB Output below 20 — exceeding this level triggers automatic quality compression from streaming platforms, which reduces audio clarity even as the apparent volume increases.

The guiding principle for vocal-to-music balance: vocals should sit slightly above the backing track at the loudest point of the song. They shouldn’t bury the music, but they shouldn’t be floating disconnected above it either. A natural blend means the two feel like one performance, not two separate audio sources playing at the same time.
The Record for Preview feature in the HollyAudio App is the most underused tool in the system, and it solves a genuine problem: how do you audition presets and EQ settings without singing the same phrase forty times?

Record a short clip — 30 seconds of your normal singing voice, with or without backing track — and the app loops it continuously. While it plays back, you can switch through presets from the library and adjust EQ parameters in real time, hearing the effect immediately through your wireless earphones. This removes the bone-conduction bias problem: when you hear your own voice through your skull while singing, you perceive it differently than your audience does. The recorded loop reflects what they actually hear.
This workflow — record, loop, audition, adjust — should replace the traditional sound check for every session.
