2. For now, only support Sony A7M3, A7M4, FX3, A7S3, ZVE-10, will be compatible with more cameras and brands in the future.

Steps for Connection (take A7M4 as an example):
1. Set the Pyro 5 in transmitter mode.

The type of lens will also affect the function. Some lenses’ aperture is fixed so they can not be changed, and the camera control can not control the aperture. Some lenses have a ring to change the aperture. For these kinds of lenses, please set the ring to “Auto”. Please refer to the figure below.

1. Connect the camera to the Pyro 5 via HDMI cable.
2. Recording settings->The brand and the model of the camera -> turn on the Trigger.

3. In camera, Menu->HDMI settings->REC control -> ON.

For Pyro 5 steps:
Set the Pyro 5 to transmitter mode and insert an SD card.
Find the trigger function in Pyro 5 system settings and select the Camera control. In this example, we need to choose the [Sony], [A7M4].
Connect the Camera to the Pyro 5 via an HDMI cable.
Turn on the “HDMI Control” in the camera’s menu. The routine is Menu->HDMI settings->HDMI control -> ON.
Press the “Record” button of the camera, and the Pyro 5 will record at the same time.

For Camera Settings (A7M4 ):
1. Set the output frame rate to the same as the file’s.

2. When using the decimal frame rate, please set the TC/UB settings->TC formal->NDF

3. Turn on the trigger function. Camera menu->HDMI settings->REC control->REC control

Start recording on camera. Pyro 5 will record the proxy file simultaneously and store the proxy file in the folder “Proxy”.

Copy the video source file from SD card. The video source file is stored in the  CLIP folder.

Open editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, import the camera source file and Pyro 5 proxy file respectively, right-click the camera source file and select Relink Proxy File to associate the camera proxy file with the camera source file. Subsequent editors can quickly edit the proxy file.
