Meet Alberto Seghezzi

Born and raised in Italy, Alberto’s passion for photography began in childhood, inspired by his father and brother. While studying mechanical engineering, he discovered his love for filmmaking, a medium that allowed him to express his creativity. After earning his master’s degree, he pursued filmmaking full-time, blending technical expertise with artistic vision.

Over the past 7+ years, Alberto has traveled the world, creating documentaries and collaborating with high-profile brands like EA7, Armani Exchange, Ferrari, and Lamborghini. His work balances storytelling with visual aesthetics, earning him a documentary on Prime Video and a global network of talented collaborators. Alberto’s journey is a testament to his dedication to capturing stories that inspire and resonate.

A Real-Life Alpine Adventure

In December 2024, Alberto and his team embarked on an ambitious project to shoot the Hollyland Cosmo C2 TVC at a real live event venue nestled in the heart of the Alps. The challenge was twofold: not only did they need to create a compelling commercial showcasing the Cosmo C2, but they also had to execute a live concert recording simultaneously. The story they aimed to tell revolved around the struggle of setting up a live concert where the signal needed to be broadcast on the venue’s massive LED wall and streamed live to the event manager. The Cosmo C2, the star of the TVC, wasn’t just a prop—it was an integral part of the live recording, proving its reliability and versatility in real-time. This dual-purpose approach created a complex yet seamless blend of preparation, live action, and storytelling.

The Team and Their Tools

Alberto’s team of nine was a well-oiled machine, each member equipped with at least one Hollyland product to ensure smooth communication and flawless execution. Here’s how they divided and conquered:

  • Communication: The entire crew stayed connected using the Solidcom C1 Pro kit, ensuring crystal-clear communication throughout the shoot.
  • Shooting Team:
    • CAM A (Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro) on a tripod, paired with a Cosmo C2 transmitter (TX n.1), looped to a Mars M1 Enhance for on-camera monitoring.
    • CAM B (Sony FX-3) on a Ronin, equipped with a Cosmo C2 transmitter (TX n.2), sending footage to the director’s monitor as a reference.
  • Drone Team: The FPV drone, mounted with a Blackmagic Micro G2 on a Ronin, used a Cosmo C2 transmitter to capture both TVC footage and live concert recording.
  • BTS Team: The behind-the-scenes crew relied on the Mars M1 EN as a monitor and the Hollyland Lark Max to capture team voices and interviews.
  • Live Cameras:
    • CAM C (Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro) on a tripod, paired with Cosmo C2 (TX kit 2 n.1).
    • CAM D (Sony FX-3) clamped to the DJ console on stage, equipped with Cosmo C2 (TX kit 2 n.2).

The Tools Behind the Scenes

Solidcom C1 Pro Wireless Intercom System

The Solidcom C1 Pro played a crucial role in ensuring seamless team communication, especially in an open-air venue with vast spaces. Its intercom system significantly reduced the time required for scene setups, allowing the crew to coordinate efficiently. The noise-canceling feature enabled the director to maintain clear communication with the live camera operator during the concert, even amidst the ambient noise. Additionally, the replaceable battery ensured uninterrupted connectivity, even in the cold winter conditions that typically drain power quickly.

Pyro 7 Wireless Monitor

The Pyro 7 was indispensable for providing a quick and reliable connection to the director’s monitor. Its larger screen size and monitor accessories offered the ACAM TVC operator a clear view of the scene, even in challenging lighting conditions like the bright, snowy environment. This ensured precise framing and real-time adjustments, enhancing the overall quality of the shoot.

Cosmo C2 Wireless Video Transmission System

The Cosmo C2 delivered an ultra-low latency connection for the cameras, resulting in a near real-time broadcast signal displayed on the venue’s LED walls. Its impressive range allowed the team to capture stunning drone shots from remarkably long distances, adding a dynamic and cinematic perspective to the production. The Cosmo C2’s reliability and performance were key to achieving a seamless live recording and broadcast experience.

Solving Challenges with Hollyland Products

This Alpine adventure was not only a perfect blend of technology and creativity but also an outstanding demonstration of the Hollyland Cosmo C2 in real-world applications. Alberto Seghezzi and his team, through meticulous planning and efficient collaboration, successfully accomplished a dual mission: shooting a captivating television commercial while simultaneously recording a breathtaking live music performance.

During this shoot, Hollyland’s products—especially the Cosmo C2 wireless video transmission system, the Solidcom C1 Pro wireless intercom system, and the Pyro 7 wireless monitor—proved their reliability and versatility in complex environments. Whether capturing stunning aerial views with drones or transmitting high-definition footage live to LED screens, these tools ensured smooth and precise execution of the production.

This high-altitude shoot was not just a technical challenge but also a fusion of art and innovation. It demonstrated that even in the most demanding conditions, with advanced equipment and seamless teamwork, it is possible to create truly astonishing works.

Alberto Seghezzi | Filmmaker & Videographer

I’m Alberto, a filmmaker born and raised in Italy and a worldwide traveler for years.

I’ve had a deep passion for photography since I was a child, a passion from my father and older brother. While studying mechanical engineering, I’ve found a deep bond with the video making world, letting me express myself and my creativity. That’s why, after getting my master’s degree with max evaluation, I rejected a PhD and started to work as a sales and business manager for a company while opening my filmmaking company at the same time. A few years later, opening a studio of freelancers.

After resigning, I’ve been full-time filmmaking for more than 7 years now, creating all over the world, meeting talented people all over, and having the chance to make some of the experiences I would have never thought of in my life, like running the NYC marathon, climbing the 2nd tallest mountain in Europe and surviving in the desert with no water for days, all filming it. I’ve found my balance in expressing myself in the documentary world, letting me tell stories and bring value to this world while keeping the Ads and TVC area open to express top-notch technical and visual aesthetics.

I define myself as a well-made cocktail of skills, being able to listen to the client and understand their needs, carefully leading my team to obtain the best result possible. This allowed me to have a documentary on Prime Video in 2021 and collaborate with high fashion brands like EA7, Armani Exchange, and Natuzzi and car brands such as Cupra, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati. My love for meeting new people worldwide allowed me to have great and talented friends and professionals in each continent and led me to collaborate with some of the best brands in the film industry.
