When a project requires a full-scale production, Thony and his team are able to handle every stage of the process – from crafting the initial script to delivering a polished final product. With meticulous attention to detail, he ensures a smooth workflow, guiding each project from start to finish to bring his client’s vision to life. Whether it’s a short commercial or a complex corporate video, Thony and his team are dedicated to creating high-impact visuals that truly engage audiences.
Testing Background
Recently, Thony was occupied with a TV commercial production for a food brand in Europe. Having the client on-site can often add pressure to a production, but for Thony Kamargo, it was an invaluable asset. The on-site presence allowed for immediate feedback and approvals on each shot, streamlining decision-making and enhancing the creative process. Thony first heard about Hollyland products through his friends. He chose Hollyland because it’s a well-known company, and he had seen and used its older systems in action on various filming sets. For this TV commercial production, there were 5 crew members on set. The Pyro S was mounted on the camera, while the Pyro 7 was with the 1st AC. The client, gaffer, and food stylist each had a receiver connected to their monitors.
How Does the Hollyland Ecosystem Help?
During the production of this food brand’s TC commercial, Hollyland products played a crucial role. The Solidcom C1 Pro intercom system and Pyro Series video transmission system together created a seamless video and audio ecosystem, significantly enhancing workflow efficiency on set.
50ms Ultra-low Latency
To ensure the client could see every detail in real-time, Thony integrated the Hollyland Pyro system on set, giving the client a direct view of the evolving visuals and ensuring no surprises down the line.
With self-developed 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz dual-band technology, Pyro S features a stable transmission range of up to 1,300ft (400m). It achieves a minimal transmission latency of 50ms thanks to upgraded chips and optimized video encoding/decoding algorithms. This ultra-low latency is crucial in dynamic, fast-paced shooting environments, allowing for real-time monitoring and precise coordination across the set. Pyro S combines reliability and responsiveness to streamline workflows in any demanding production scenario.
Transmitter,Receiver, and Monitor – All in One
Thony also ensured that key team members—the gaffer, food stylist, and 1st AC—had access to the video feed. This level of visibility allowed each team member to make adjustments on the fly, maintaining consistency and quality.
The Pyro 7 takes video transmission flexibility to a whole new level. In receiver mode, it functions as a fully wireless monitor, eliminating the hassle of cumbersome cables and enhancing on-set mobility. This mode allows for effortless monitoring of video feeds, ideal for dynamic environments where movement and adaptability are key.
In transmitter mode, the Pyro 7 truly shines with its ability to connect to up to four receivers simultaneously. This multi-device support makes it an excellent choice for larger production teams who need multiple vantage points. Whether it’s sharing real-time footage with directors, crew members, or other stakeholders, the Pyro 7 ensures that everyone stays in sync, allowing for seamless collaboration and improved production efficiency.
Ensure Smooth Coordination
To facilitate effortless communication across the team, they used the Hollyland Solidcom C1 Pro headsets to keep everyone connected, which brought a new level of seamlessness and efficiency to their operations. This reliable connectivity ensured that information flowed smoothly, making it easy to address changes, solve issues on the fly, and keep up with the fast-paced demands of their work.
The Solidcom C1 Pro is Hollyland’s first-of-its-kind full-duplex wireless intercom system, all headsets can talk at the same time with ultra-low latency. Just switch the headset ON, place it on your head, and then begin talking with your team in a matter of seconds, so that you can focus more on efficient hands-free team collaboration.
Overall Experience
“Pyro series kept us all in the same page. We saw what was going on in the scene and knew what needed to be made to move on with the shooting plan. That alongside having direct audio communication – Solidcom C1 Pro made it super smooth.”
