Hollyland & Das Kanu des Manitu

By chance, Michael learned about Hollyland through attending industry event. Following this initial encounter, Jude reached out and provided him with a set of the Solidcom C1 Pro intercom system, allowing him to experience a unique filming perspective.

In his latest project, “Das Kanu des Manitu,” the sequel to Germany’s most successful cinematic release, “Der Schuh des Manitu,” Michael embarked on a remarkable filming journey. During a pivotal scene, he utilized seven headsets, connecting the director, director of photography (DP), and other key team members both on set and remotely, fostering seamless collaboration and enhancing his creative process.

During Michael’s shoot, he had multiple crane-shots where communication with the Grips was essential before, during, and after each take. This facilitated smoother work processes, enabling more fluid and synchronized shots. Additionally, there were action shots involving an Ultimate Arm mounted on a Polaris off-road vehicle. Given the loud environment during high-speed movements, the Solidcom became indispensable for Michael to communicate effectively between the driver, arm operator, and focus puller.
